Another Arctic Freeze Coming Our Way
Expect icy conditions starting late Sunday until Wednesday morning. Here a few things the City of Beaumont is doing to keep everyone safe.
Some Other Place and the Salvation Army of Jefferson County will provide a 24-hr service at their shelters
City of Beaumont will have free bus transits throughout the night to area shelters
Animal Medical And Surgical Hospital is will open his building to house pets of those going to the Salvation Army shelter. This is in partnership with Beaumont Street Pets.
For those leaving town in Nederland, The City of Nederland is offering to shut off water meters who request it by Saturday, January 18th by 4pm. This will be shutoff for the entire duration of the freeze starting Sunday.

Timeline for Pour Neches Restaurant and Pickleball Concept
The brand new riverfront restaurant that’s been under construction since February 2024 is expected to open in late March. This is barring any setbacks which has been a issue.
A few things to expect:
- 2 Pickball Courts
- Turf-covered kid’s playing area
- Shipping Containers being repurposed into a kitchen
- Large bars, dining areas, and TV’s to hang with friends and family
- A scenic view overviewing the Neches River
