LSCPA SBDC Launches 2025 Ignite the Vision Business Pitch Competition
The Lamar State College Port Arthur SBDC, with support from Motiva, is launching its 2025 “Ignite the Vision” Small Business Plan and Pitch Competition. A kickoff event will be held May 29 at the Holiday Inn Port Arthur. Entrepreneurs can win up to $10,000 and must complete training and pitch requirements by September. Read more here!
Port Arthur Seeks Input on Downtown Plan
Port Arthur is collecting resident feedback via an online survey to help shape its Downtown Revitalization Plan, focusing on safety, business types, housing, and public space improvements. Read more here!
Beaumont Could Get a Food Truck Park Downtown
Beaumont is moving forward with plans for a downtown food truck park, budgeting $43,000 for design work in 2025 and considering Rotary Park as the preferred location due to lower costs and flood risk. The city plans to issue a Request for Proposals by late June, favoring a public-private partnership to encourage creative input from developers. Read more here!
